Prayer of Thanks

by Yvan

I thank you, Lord
but how can I thank you?
no words can express
what I know in my heart.

Let your Spirit speak for me
with the groans and sighs of my soul
that cry out my gratitude
as no words could ever do

as no words could ever do.

With Open Face Beholding *

by Yvan

Our minds were blinded
the veil was upon our hearts
but then we turned unto the Lord
and the veil was taken away.

And now we all, with open face
beholding as in a glass
the glory of the Lord
are changed into His image
from glory to glory
by the Spirit of the Lord

Jesus is my Stay *

by Yvan

Though I may not be clothed in silk
no diamond on my hand
still I have the richest life
of any man, or woman

My house is not a rich man's dream
no castle in the air
but home is where I talk with Him
and know He's there, He is there.

chorus

Nothing in this life is more important
than His grace
nor is anything more precious than to
seek Him face to face.
Maybe this world can tempt my eyes
to look away
but it can never hold my gaze
for Jesus is my stay.
My life is not a symphony
with perfect harmony
still my heart will sing the songs
He gives to me, eternally.

If I live to be old and gray
I'll have no need to fear
because the day when Jesus comes
will be very near, He'll be here!

repeat chorus

Work of Faith *

by Yvan

for we are saved by grace
through faith, and it's a gift from God
and not by anything we've done
so we cannot boast.

But this is the working of our faith:
that we do your will
for without stepping out and walking (with you Lord)
then out faith standing still.

show me your faith without the working of God
through your life
and I will show you my faith
by what He's doing through me

And this is the working of my faith:
that I do what you've said
for without stepping out and walking (with Jesus)
then my faith is surely dead.

Lonliness

by Yvan

Lonliness takes him from place to place
a roll on his back for a home
sometimes a room and a bottle
make for sympathetic friends.

Time and distance have long been lost
in oceans of liquor and wine
and locked in a haze of senselessness
he staggers to somewhere unknown...

A man on a platform is speaking
of something he cannot understand
while the waves of sleep and boredom
cling to his ears like death.

Now, words and an image come back to him
like flashes of sunlight inside
they prick at his conscience and haunt his mind.
What did the message mean?

Will someone tell him?

Does anyone know?

So Great is His Love *

by Phil

The Lord is compassionate and gracious
slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse,
nor will He harbor His anger forever
He does not treat us as our sins deserve
nor repay according to our iniquities.

chorus

For as high as the heavens are above the earth
so great is His love to them that fear Him
and as far as the east is from the west
so far has He removed our sin from us
bridge:

As a father has compassion on his children
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.

For He knows how we are formed
He remembers that we are dust.
As for man, his days are like grass
he flourishes like the flower in the field
the wind blows over it and it is gone
and its place remembers it, remembers it no more.

(repeat chorus)

last bridge:

From everlasting to everlasting
the Lord's love is with those that fear Him

Holy, Holy *

by Phil

chorus:

Holy, holy are you Lord
we praise your precious name, oh Jesus
and we long to be with you
in your house where we will live forever
The Lord is my rock,
on Him will I put my trust
and He is my strength,
in my weakness He will lift me up
and in my days of trouble I will run to Him
because He is faithful to rescue me from them
with my God nothing is impossible
the victory was won by His blood.

bridge:

With love and your blood
you payed the price
you bought my life
when you layed down your crown
and you died for me
and I want to serve you in a way
that's worth of your calling
that all might see your love within me
and glorify your name.

(repeat chorus)
