Life from the tree of everlasting.
And bade me drink of living waters
Flowing from the crystal spring.
You gave me love, O Author of Love,
And wrote upon my heart of stone
The name of Him who loved me first,
And called me out to be His own.
You gave me peace, O Prince of Peace,
And set a watch upon my heart,
To keep me from the evil one,
Who throws temptation's firey dart.
You gave me joy, O Fountain of Joy,
Bubbling up from eternal springs.
You are the Source, the Fountainhead
Of every song my heart now sings!
