This scene, an angel-eye view of the empty tomb of Jesus, was inspired by a rough sketch by my husband. His sketch was so expressive, that I had to try it...=) Whenever I make up a face like this, it always ends up looking a bit like me....hmmmm.

It's a bit hard to see the details, but she is caught by surprise in the midst of bringing her embalming spices and linens and drops them at the opening. In the foregroung of the painting is the discarded burial cloth lying on the floor of the empty tomb.
