Sometimes I like to just try something new or different with the materials we have on hand. Today, I chose some glossy, clay-coated paper, thin-line markers, water and brushes. I demonstrated how they could either draw with the markers first, then wash with clear water to spread the color, or wet the paper first, then draw with the markers and watch the color quickly spread. By doing this, I was able to get a good many of the children experimenting with their art... =)
