He Said

I see you through
Eyes
of pure beauty,
Heart
of fierce love,
Pierced
with longing for
Eternal Fellowship.

And I Answered

I cry to you, Lord,
as a solitary gull
seeking refuge
and food.
Yet,
joined by many others
in glad raucous
before the coming tide,
I shall feast
in your presence
and shelter
in your wings.

Then I Saw

A vision of a woman.
her body nearly
transparent.
Within her glowed
a large heart,
Burning
with intense fire.
Wind
tossed her hair,
and round about her
Curled
the pearlescent feathers
of some great
Angel.

Said He

She is the Church
whom I see
in the beauty of
Holiness.
She is a vessel
of crystal
shining forth the light
of my Spirit,
who is the flaming heart
within her.
She is encompassed
with my wings
of Love.
Protected
from her enemies.

He Says to Her

You are a rare
Flower
hidden among leaves
a Treasure
waiting to be found.
Beauty
is my hallmark,
and I have given you
my seal.
